Thanks for your interest! As promised, here's one of my favorite Team-Building Magic exercises to run at corporate events.
The Icebreaker: Entourage
Ever played "Rock, Paper, Scissors?" This is that classic game, multiplied times everyone in your company! Here's how it works:
1. First, make sure to clarify how to play the game, when the "attack" is thrown, etc. (Is it "Rock, paper, scissors, shoot?" or just "Rock, Paper, Scissors"?)
2. Everyone mingles around the room. When they lock eyes with another person, they engage in a duel!
3. They battle 1 time.
4. The loser now follows the winner around, rooting them on while the winner continues battling other people.
5. This continues, as more and more people are trailing the winners and rooting them on, until there are just 2 winners left.
6. The 2 finalists play best two out of three, and everyone applauds the group afterward.
I love starting my team-building workshops with this, because it instantly engages everyone. This icebreaker is a wonderful tool to keep in your toolbelt for when you need it, because it is dead simple and requires no equipment! If your group has been sitting in meetings all day, this gets them standing up and walking around! You'll also see an enormous amount of laughter in the few minutes this game lasts. Tip: Play some fun, upbeat music during the game to help raise the energy level.
This is just the tip of the iceberg for what your group will experience when I present my fun, interactive "Team-Building Magic" workshop at your company's event. I truly look forward to working with you. Please email me directly at [email protected] to discuss your specific needs.
